Binkie Girl

Adora is a MAJOR binkie girl. She loves that thing. Our favorite game is when I'll put the binkie backwards in my mouth and then she'll reach for it and put it into hers. A lot of times it only makes it in the wrong way into her mouth too but she's starting to figure out how to do it. She laughs so hard as soon as she sees the binkie in my mouth and she knows that I'm teasing her. It's super funny.

6 Month Check-up!!

I took Adora to her 6 month visit today. She weighed in at 16 lbs 4 oz and was 27 1/2 inches long. I didn't think I could love her more but the older she gets the more fun she is. She melts my heart with her little smile and coos. I think I am going to have a very busy child on my hand. She's been sitting up by herself for over a month now and is reaching for everything. Any object she can find goes directly into her mouth. She laughs at the funniest things. She has been sleeping 11-13 hours at night and is just my little angel.

Our Honey Bunny!!!

OK...

I realize that this is really late, considering it's now Thanksgiving but I really wanted to put these pictures up. Adora smiles so cute but the second a camera is put up she's way too fascinated with it and immediately would like only to eat it. She was lots of fun on Halloween. She wouldn't hold still for her make-up (I'm not quite sure why I thought she would). We went to the ward Halloween/ Chili cook-off party. We took our little neighbor boys with us and the youngest one kept saying "your son is scary. I'm gonna cry he's scary." The boys are from a little Mexican family and have not quite figured out their pro-nouns. Classic....

Back Track!!

I hope to be able to use this blog as an online journal..if no one else looks at it that's ok. At least I'll have it for myself. So I'm going to back track a little bit. Um... six months ago when our lives changed drastically. That is when we brought our beautifully baby girl into our home. CheetoHead comes from our little red head. That's the first thing the doctor said when she arrived was "look at all that red hair." She has been such a blessing to us and is such a good baby. From about 3 weeks on she slept five hours at night and it's gotten better ever sense. She hardly ever cries but she is learning to get her way when she cries now. She lights up our lives and is so much fun.

I am grateful that I have been able to stay home with her and not had to go back to work. Dan has been so willing to work so hard so that I that I could be home with her. He'd wouldn't want me any other place. That means a lot of late nights and a lot of tired muscle and bone for him. I miss him when he's gone a lot but it means a lot to me that he's willing to do it. I love staying home...it was a BIG adjustment at first. I was so used to being busy all that time and running every which direction all at the same time. Luckily life slowed down big time. Physically I feel a lot better now and ejoy being able to just relax.

Adora loves to watch me do all of our chores. She sits in her bumbo and watches me get ready in the morning (lets be honest, more like afternoon), make dinner, wash the dishes and so forth. She also loves her daddy. She squels with delight whenever he comes home. I think his favorite thing to do with her is get her out of bed in the morning. In fact, I think he's much louder than he used to be all in hopes that she'll wake up. She is so happy in the mornig and smiles and coos to him. I think we are going to have a major daddy's girl on our hands.

Anyway I could go on for pages....I'll the pictures do the talking

First timer

I have had so much fun reading other blogs, that I couldn't help but start one myself. Hopefully I won't be too terribly boring but with our cheeto head around there's always something to talk about.

Buddy the dog and Adora are best of friends. However Buddy seems to think the bouncer is exclusively for his use only. Adora has recently grown out of the bouncer but we can't put it away because it's his favorite place to take a nap.
